Serving Tucson’s Youth Since 1957
Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson has been in the forefront of youth development in Tucson for over forty years. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson currently serves over 8,000 youth at six clubhouses located throughout Tucson. Our programs are offered year-round and are safe, fun and affordable for all youth.
Boys & Girls Clubs of America administers an evaluation called Standards of Organizational Effectiveness to clubs every three years. At our last review, in 2008, we received a score of 95 out of 100, placing us in the top 5% of Boys & Girls Clubs in the Pacific Region. We credit our active, committed volunteers for our success. We have nearly 55 Board of Directors who oversee the operations of the organization as well as over 100 Associate Board Members. These individuals raise over 40% of our annual operating budget through special events and individual, corporate and foundation fundraising. Because of our active volunteer base, we are able to return 80 cents on every dollar raised directly back to our clubhouse programs.
