The Boys and Girls Clubs of Tucson is a qualifying charitable organization for the Arizona Charitable Organization Tax Credit, formerly known as the Arizona Working Poor Tax Credit. Through donations like yours, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson is able to provide over 4,000 Club members and reach over 6,000 youth in Tucson through access to 6 clubhouses, quality programing, homework help, a caring staff and a safe place to go after school.
In May 2016, Governor Ducey approved changes to two bills to benefit tax payers ability to donate to qualified charitable organizations for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit. The proposed Senate bills that were approved are SB1216 and SB1217.
SB 1216 increases the contribution limits for the Charitable Tax Credit from $200 for an individual to $400, and from $400 for a married couple to $800.
SB 1217 extends the Charitable Tax Credit contribution deadline to April 15 from its current December 31 deadline.
