Xavier Walker

Vice President of Resource Development

Originally from Dallas, Xavier Walker is a true Texan. In his teen years, Xavier and his family relocated to Phoenix, Arizona when he fell in love with the state!

Xavier bleeds red and blue and is a proud Wildcat for life! During his time at the University of Arizona, he turned his passion for helping less fortunate kids into a full-time gig as he began his career at the YMCA of Southern Arizona. While at the Y, he established the Today’s Youth, Tomorrow’s Leaders leadership program which continues to thrive around the country today. Xavier served the Y as the Angel Youth Center Branch Director and the Association’s Development Director, leading the organization’s fundraising efforts through the Annual Community Support Campaign, direct mail, foundation and grant relations, major gift strategies, planned giving, and special events.

For nearly a decade, Xavier raised critical funds as Vice President of Donor Relations for Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH) which feeds, clothes, houses, and educates over 8,000 orphaned and disadvantaged children across Latin America and the Caribbean. Xavier brought his extensive experience raising millions of dollars for unhoused children to NPH’s largest service area in Haiti and the patients being treated at the St. Damien Pediatric Hospital in Port-au-Prince. In his last year at NPH, Xavier was responsible for raising $10M.

Xavier is the proud Founder and President of X Marks the Spot Consulting (XMSC). He also co-chaired the 2023 Tucson Unified School District Bond committee (Prop 496), which provided $480M to the district- the largest bond in Arizona history.

Xavier lives to give and serves as a board member for numerous nonprofit organizations, including the Arizona Anti-Trafficking Network, Arizona Community Foundation- Black Philanthropy Initiative, Community Foundation of Southern Arizona- African American Legacy Fund, and the Coalition of Blacks Against Cancer.
